Privacy Policy

The short version. StretchLingo collects only what's needed to run the app. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your information with third parties for their own purposes, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Information we collect

Account info — your email address (via email sign-up or Sign in with Apple, which may be an Apple private-relay address), and the username and display name you choose.
Profile — an optional avatar image you upload.
Activity — the squads you join, your routine completions, streaks, chosen mood, comments, reactions, and chat messages.
Proof photos — if your squad enables Proof of Stretch, the photos you capture during a routine. These are kept for a limited time (about two weeks) so your squad can look back, then removed.
Device token — if you enable notifications, a push token so we can send reminders and squad alerts.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health records, or payment information.

How we use it

To create and secure your account and sign you in.
To run the core features — squads, daily routines, the activity feed, leaderboards, streaks, comments, reactions, chat, and proof photos.
To send the notifications you've turned on.

Within a squad, your display name, avatar, activity, streaks, comments, reactions, chat, and proof photos are visible to the other members of that squad — that's the point of the app.

Service providers

We use Supabase to host our database and backend, and Apple for Sign in with Apple and push notification delivery. These providers process data only to operate the app on our behalf. We do not share your data with anyone for advertising or sale.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Proof photos are removed automatically after about two weeks. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (menu → Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Security

Data is stored with our hosting provider using encryption in transit, and access is restricted by per-user security rules. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

StretchLingo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
